Dr. David Anthony has more than 35 years of clinical experience in the mental health field specializing in treating families, adolescents, children and victims of Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder.  He is a certified Addiction Counselor, Family Mediator and a Diplomat of The American College of Professional Mental Health Practitioners.  His clinical experience includes the treatment of sexual offenders, victims of sexual aggression, juvenile offenders, and adolescent depression.  He has done extensive work in the areas of mental health trauma and crisis intervention, developing Crisis Response Teams that have assisted in school shootings, suicides, fires and natural disasters.  He has been published for his work in the treatment of sexual offenders and has conducted research in gang behaviors.  He has developed and implemented victim-witness programs, domestic violence programs and diversion programs that have been modeled throughout the southern region.  Dr. Anthony, a former United States Marine, Vietnam and Persian Gulf Combat Veteran, earned his undergraduate degree at Michigan State University in East Lansing, MI with a dual major in developmental psychology and criminal justice.  He went on from there to study at the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor, MI and ultimately graduated Summa Cum Laude from Georgia State University with a Master’s Degree in Education specializing in Community Counseling.  Dr. Anthony is currently the CEO of Family Interventions Specialists a nonprofit established in 1998.working with Fulton County Juvenile Court with an Intensive Home Therapy Program.  Dr. Anthony received his doctorate degree from the Department of Clinical Psychology at Southern California University for Professional Studies.
